Judy, one of Emily’s bridesmaids used to be a florist and knew all the tricks of the trade when it came to creating bridal bouquets, button holes, corsages and various other floral arrangements. The Thursday morning before the wedding Emily travelled up to London’s Covent Garden with Judy at 5am to buy all of the wedding flowers. It was an amazing experience and together, the girls chose white roses, tulips, hydrangea, Astilbe and freesia. Combined with eucalyptus gunni from Emily’s garden, Judy was able to create all of the floral arrangements on the Friday and Saturday morning before the wedding.
At 1pm on the 26th April, 2014, Emily walked down the aisle to the piano version of Amazed by Lonestar in front of 73 guests. Emily wanted to sneak a little bit of Disney influence into her wedding day without making it obvious, so asked her bridesmaid Sarah to read ‘We’ll go on’ a poem by Dom Dorsey, which is also a song played during Disney Illuminations.
