**Benjamin Roberts Bride of the Month, December 2014**
Emily and Richard got engaged within in a year of meeting but delayed their wedding by over four years so that they could welcome their baby daughter Jessie into the world. 61 guests witnessed Emily and Richard tie the knot in a traditional church wedding ceremony and then everyone travelled to The Barn at Heron’s Farm for a rustic wedding reception followed by dancing and cake.
The Bride and Groom
Emily and Richard met through a mutual friend but didn’t officially start dating for a further 6 months. It was clear that the pair had feelings for each other from the beginning and it didn’t take long for Richard to pop the question. In fact, it was under a year from their initial introduction.
Emily had planned a trip to California with a friend and was booked to be away for just under a month. But after just a week her heart longed for Richard and she booked a flight home to be with her love. Richard greeted Emily at the airport with a smile and an engagement ring, and after getting down on one knee, Richard asked the love of his life to be his wife.
After announcing their engagement Richard and Emily spent four and a half years planning their wedding which took place in Berkshire with 78 members of their friends and family.
