Emily and Dan had a traditional church ceremony at The Holy Family Catholic Church in Reigate at 1:45pm; 45 minutes later than originally scheduled. A huge traffic jam on the M25 caused a number of guests to arrive late and in the end the ceremony proceeded with out Emily’s Nan and Aunty. The priest however stopped the service to announce the arrival of Emily’s Nan who was greeted by everyone with a round of applause. The couple wouldn’t have changed the traffic purely for experiencing that wonderful moment in the church.
Emily’s family had hired a 1930’s style Badsworth Landaulet from Timeless Experience in Ashtead to transport the bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride to the church, but seeing as the traffic was so horrendous Emily and her father took the Landaulet and the bridesmaids grabbed a lift with the wedding photographer.
