Emily and Ben had often thought that they’d like a marquee wedding reception but were struggling to find the perfect venue. Choosing their own menu was important to the couple but they spoke to their friends, Garry and Teresa Cook who own The Crown Inn, Snape; they offered to let the wedding planning couple put a marquee up in the grounds of the pub garden. They also offered to take care of all the catering and the flowers!
Brightly coloured pom poms hung from the ceiling of the marquee and cream jugs with pink and green taffeta bows decorated the reception tables. The relaxed, country style theme was brought to life by 80s board games such as Connect 4 and Operation to keep the guests entertained - they were a great ice breaker! The name of the boardgame featured on the table, was also the name of the table on the seating plan!
As wedding favours Ben and Emily had ordered personalised sticks of rhubarb and custard flavoured rock and the wedding breakfast menu featured rump of lamb and a duo of chocolate desserts! A hog roast was served up later on during the evening along with a truly delicious slice of wedding cake for each guest.
