Anthony and Emily chose Hever Castle as their wedding venue soon after becoming engaged. Emily has a master’s degree in Medieval Art History, and the idea of getting married in a historic building appealed to her.
In total they visited three venues before booking Hever Castle, but the beautiful grounds and ample accommodation meant Hever was the one for them. In the week leading up to the wedding, Emily was able to stay on site with her mum, and lots of their 62 guests stayed over.
The couple made full use of the venue’s expert wedding coordinator, trusting them to point out what would work and what wouldn’t. The traditional sit down meal was delicious, and in the evening they arranged for poutine, a traditional Canadian dish of chips, cheese and gravy, to be served to soak up the alcohol!
