Emilie & Allan's Real Wedding

Emilie & Allan's Real Wedding - The Humanist Ceremony

The Humanist Ceremony

Emilie and Allan decided to have a humanist wedding ceremony. Emilie was walked down the aisle by her father, who wore a kilt for the occasion and felt as though he was watching himself starring in a movie!

The bridesmaids walked down the aisle to the Champions League music, which was Emilie’s suggestion. They both love football, and here the music a lot which always brings back happy memories. Emilie walked down the aisle as a piper played.

The couple wanted to include their French and Scottish cultures in their ceremony, so Emilie said her vows to Allan in English, and he said his to her in French. They wrote their own vows and loved working on them together.

They included the Scottish symbolic gesture of the Quaich, filled with French liquor, which all the guests took a sip from.
