Elaine & Stephen’s Real Wedding

Elaine and Stephen met at a mutual friend’s birthday party, and hit it off. A Christmas Eve proposal led to a 16 year engagement, before Elaine’s grandmother’s ill health spurred them on to planning a wedding in just two weeks so she could share their special day.

The Groomsmen

Stephen bought his wedding suit. The couple went to Glasgow to get the wedding rings and decided to get the suit on the same day as time was tight. He chose a plain black, single breasted suit by Van Kollem, which they bought from Ben Hamish. The tailor was very understanding of the time restraints, and organised to have to suit altered to fit within an hour.

A green tie matched the bridesmaid’s dress perfectly. They picked this out by showing the shop a picture of the bridal party dresses.

Stephen’s best man already had full traditional Scottish formalwear, complete with a kilt, so he wore that.
