Clare and Dom chose to host their wedding celebrations at Beechwood Park School in Markyate, which is where Dom went to school. Both his parents also worked there, so they have a lot of connections to the place. Dom’s name is on the board in gold writing in the main hall so hosting the wedding there felt like a lovely association with his family.
The couple were able to decorate how they wanted and they had so much space – they even had a crèche with nursery staff so the children could eat and play and not be bored by the speeches.
The venue was decorated with a silver coloured scheme with lots of sparkle and plenty of candles. The bride and groom hired local caterer Tracy Smith, who provided a vast variety of canapes, lamb tagine, chicken in white wine sauce or aubergine bake. The dessert was sticky toffee pudding.
Dom and Clare stocked up on wine bought in Calais and contacted a local brewery for two kegs of Beechwood Bitter!
