Initially Claire and Paul didn’t give much thought to the colour schemes. Claire knew pretty pastel shades weren’t for them, so she took Paul’s favourite colour, blue, and her own, yellow, and put them together. The two colours inspired a seaside sort of feeling, so they went with it! The theme suited where they met and live, and gave them a real focus in their planning.
Rosie’s Vineyard worked with the nautical theme, as the conservatory where they held their reception, had wooden floors and slatted walls, giving it a beach hut vibe.
The table plan consisted of lots of vintage post cards with naughty jokes, and the tables were named after famous pirate ships. The place cards were wooden chip forks stamped with names, placed in miniature lifesaver rings!
The couple and their guests enjoyed an amazing meal at Rosie’s, including baked camembert and chicken wrapped in parma ham, accompanied with lots of wine.
