The Wedding Cake
A friend of the bride’s made their four-tier, ivory wedding cake. As Claire doesn’t like fruit cake, she requested one layer to be made of Victoria sponge, but the remaining three to be fruit cake in order to stay traditional. The couple have kept the top tier as a reminder of their special day, but a week after their wedding held a ‘cake and champagne party’, where they cut the cake and got together with guests. This gave them a chance to reminisce whilst enjoying the cake!
After 17 long years, Adam and Claire married in front of their friends and family, and it was definitely worth the wait; Claire states alongside the birth of their two children, it was the best day of their lives, and they’d do it all again tomorrow if they could.
