In 2009, Christina packed her life up into two suitcases and moved from her hometown of Toronto, Ontario in Canada to Lewisham in London to pursue her teaching career.
Within two weeks of being in the UK she’d met the man of her dreams, Simon, but her mother was still in the UK helping her settle into her new British home. When Christina’s mother journeyed back to Canada, the couple became inseparable and decided to make their relationship official. Christina took Simon ‘home for Christmas’ the following December and it was over a festive 8 course meal that he won the hearts of Christina’s family. Simon asked Christina’s father for her hand in marriage during a trip to the famous Niagra Falls, and was taken to a fine jewellers in order to choose the perfect diamond for his bride-to-be.
After having planned every detail of his proposal, Simon took Christina to the top of the CN Tower for a romantic dinner for two and proposed with a channel set solitaire diamond on a white gold band. Christina was overwhelmed, and couldn’t wait to marry her British Prince Charming.
