Dresses and suits purchased and wedding planning done and dusted, it was time to jet off for the wedding.
Because of the faraway location, Ian and Chelise decided that they wanted an intimate ceremony overlooking the sea, although they were thrilled at how many guests made the effort to travel such a long way to witness their special day.
Their dreams finally became a reality when they tied the knot in a gorgeous civil ceremony in the gardens of the coastal Olympic Lagoon Hotel.
The beautiful bride walked down the aisle with her mum to a cover version of Kodaline’s ‘The One’, after which she joined her soulmate and they were soon declared husband and wife!
The pair swapped amazing handmade rings sourced from Birmingham’s famous Jewellery Quarter.
An unforgettable memorable moment at the ceremony was when three doves were released – one for Ian, one for Chelise and one for their close friend Chantal.
Chantal’s dove was especially poignant, as she had very sadly passed away before the wedding in tragic circumstances - so this moment in the ceremony was in honour of her.
After the ceremony it was on to a cocktail and canapé reception at the hotel bar, where guests were also serenaded by a saxophonist.
Chelise and Ian were thrilled with their incredible wedding venue and were so glad that everything came together wonderfully – especially seeing as the hotel had only just opened a month before their big day!
They were full of praise for the hotel’s wedding co-ordinator, Elena, who helped the couple with their planning in the months leading up to the wedding and the opening of the hotel.
