45 guests were invited to witness the marriage of Carrie and Graham which took place at Aylesbury Registry Office. Their 3.30pm wedding ceremony commenced with Graham’s father walking the bride down the aisle – stepping in for her own father who was in her thoughts the whole day. A piano version of ‘You Raise Me Up’ was played as Carried walked down the aisle with her bridesmaids and the couple exchanged wedding rings that they purchased in a sale at Argos.
Clever Carrie made her own brooch bouquet which took her 4 and a half months to create, not to mention the several boxes of plasters. The bouquet featured a traditional lucky sixpence that was minted in the year her late father was born, a pewter double decker bus to resemble Graham’s profession and a pin that had belonged to her father in the 70s.
Carrie also created the wrist corsages for the bridesmaids, a wand for her flower girl and all of the buttonholes for the groom and his party.
