Caroline wanted a classic and traditional wedding theme, and opted for a sophisticated aubergine colour scheme. The elaborate venue already had a rich interior décor so too much detail would be overkill.
The couple kept things simple and elegant by decorating the reception tables with tall, narrow lily vases filled with pale pink and white lilies, and a touch of pink lisianthus as well as delicate ivory wax flower. These flowers were surrounded by palm leaves and some steel grass for height. The stems were tied in ivory ribbons so they were easy to dismantle and guests could take flowers home. Each guest also received a traditional Greek cake as a wedding favour.
The top table featured a long and low arrangement of flowers, which was a focal point below the newlyweds. This was made of lilies, avalanche roses, lisianthus and veronica, and set off with rich green foliage and trailing palm leaves.
