Carla and Joe had a post box at their reception for guests to post cards and well wishes into. They decorated the box with photographs of their parents’ and grandparents’ weddings, which worked well for such a family orientated couple.
They also gave very personal favours out to their guests. This thoughtful couple wanted to give out important favours, so they gave out wooden love spoons and thimbles. The love spoons were something Joe’s late grandfather made all his life, whilst Carla’s late father collected thimbles, so it was a special way to include the two men.
The newlyweds also made sure their guests were looked after by providing trivia, icebreaker and charade cards on each table. One of the ice-breaker questions was “What is the worst weather you’ve ever experienced?” Sadly for some of the guests it turned out to be the weather on Carla and Joe’s wedding day!
