Being able to shop for a dress was super exciting for Beth and she’d organised a weekend of wedding dress shopping with her bridesmaid, mother and two close girlfriends.
The girls went to a ‘Henry Roth’ designer day at a local bridal store in Sydney and Beth had a few different styles of dress in mind that she wanted to try on. She tried on a sparkly champagne coloured dress and just knew that this was ‘the one’. However, whilst she was looking at herself in the mirror, the designer Henry Roth himself came over and said how beautiful he thought she looked. He then asked if she’d be wearing a veil with the gown, which, at the time Beth hadn’t thought about. Henry Roth stepped away for a moment and then placed the most gorgeous veil on Beth’s head, and said that if she was going to wear one, then this should be it. This made Beth go from a girl in a stunning dress to a bride, and her mother started to cry. Two days later, Beth went back to the bridalwear shop and purchased her dream gown – which happened to be the 4th dress out of 12 that she tried on.
On the day Beth had her hair styled by Laura at South Hair and her make-up done by Rachel Farrow Beauty.
