After the weekday wedding ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests went back to the bride’s parents’ house for a quiet, intimate celebration. A wedding reception followed on the Saturday at the King Charles Hotel in Gillingham.
The wedding reception was decorated to match the wedding ceremony colour scheme, with lots of burgundy details. Daryl and Bekki invited 140 guests to the party to end all parties, complete with a DJ who got everyone dancing. Instead of asking for gifts, the couple requested that guests bring a dish for the buffet, and they were overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity.
One of the most touching parts of the wedding was the speeches; Bekki’s children gave a speech which welcome Daryl as their new father, and one of Daryl’s son’s also gave a speech supporting the couple’s marriage.
