Amanda decided to make her own wedding cake. The four-tiered beauty had two layers of chocolate cake, one Victoria sponge tier and a traditional fruit cake tier. The cake was covered in marzipan and soft white icing, before Amanda added yellow patterns to the icing to match the colour scheme.
As the wedding took place at the zoo the couple thought it would be fun to add animals to their wedding cake. They had a traditional cake topper which they loved so much it’s now on display in their home. It consisted of a couple dancing, and as Amanda and Jason had spent 13 months learning to do the perfect first dance, it seemed like the perfect choice.
After the quirky and creative wedding, Amanda and Jason headed to Hemsby for their honeymoon, as both Amanda’s parents and grandparents spent their first married holiday there!
