Alison’s mum made their wedding cake, so the bride knew it would be beautiful! It was a three tiered classic fruit cake, covered in soft white icing and decorated with lace, pearls and sugar flowers. Alison’s mum also made a Madeira cake to serve to those who don’t like fruit cake!
The cake was served in the evening, and most of it was devoured by guests.
Four weeks after the wedding, Alison and Gary went on honeymoon to Cuba. They flew with Virgin after finding a great deal on Travelzoo, and spent four nights exploring Havana, followed by ten nights at an all-inclusive resort in Varadero. They had an amazing time, enjoying both each other’s company as husband and wife, and a number of mojitos!
