The bride and groom went all out on the entertainment at their wedding, and put lots of thought into the special touches. They gave each guest a hand embroidered miniature deckchair with baby pink fabric – there was also a full sized deckchair embroidered with the table plan.
Everyone also received a miniature beach hut – Mick drilled a hole in each one so they could attach a sweet tree to them for a sugar hit! The centrepieces were similar and were attached to mirrored bases scattered with brown sugar and adorned with mini edible buckets, spades and beach balls.
Ali and Mick also snapped up a display cabinet from a shop which was shaped like a beach hut. This was used to display the seaside themed cupcakes. There was also a comedy pianist hired to entertain the guests and a retro seaside photo cut out of a fat lady and skinny man – guests could put their faces through the holes and pose for pictures.
In the evening there was a disco – Ali and Mick shared their first dance to ‘My Girl’ by the Temptations, and Ali also did a speech on stage where she presented their son Ruebyn with a gift.
