Alexandra & Matthew’s Real Wedding

Alexandra and Matthew celebrated their big day at a beautiful restored 17th century barn in the Cotswolds. After five years together, Matthew proposed to Alexandra after they had both completed the New York marathon and they married one year later in November 2010.


The Cake

Alexandra and Matthew wanted a cake that all their guests would enjoy so they opted for a five tier square cake made by Regal Wedding Cakes which included chocolate and lemon sponges. The whole cake was iced in white with blue flowers and had a blue ribbon trim continuing the blue theme. The cake was served to the guests throughout the evening reception.


After the wedding, the newlyweds flew out to the Maldives for 10 nights at a resort and spa in the South Ari Atoll. The couple had a magical time and hope to return back there in the future.
