In keeping with the vintage theme and autumn colour scheme, Adele decorated the tables with shabby chic bird cages, filled with candles, and scattered pearls, dried petals and roses in rich autumn colours. The centre pieces were placed on circular mirrors.
Adele and James named their tables after their favourite holiday locations, such as the Lakes, Australia, Portugal, Cyprus and Spain, and got a creative friend to draw doodles representing each place. Each hand drawn picture was displayed in a vintage style frame.
Breaking away from tradition, Adele’s mother, being the talker of the family, gave a ‘mother of the bride’ speech, which had everyone crying and laughing in equal measures.
There was a vintage style suitcase open for guests to place cards and well-wishes in, and donate towards Adele and James’s honeymoon.
