James and Adele got married on a sunny autumn day in front of 57 guests at the Pennine Manor Hotel in Huddersfield. The couple met at university and had been engaged for nine months before they tied the knot…as Adele remarked: “Why wait any longer?!”
The Happy Couple
Adele and James met at a mutual friend’s wedding whilst at university in Leeds. They had both played for the same brass band, although Adele was on a break from it. She ended up rejoining just to spend more time with James! After a happy decade together, James proposed to Adele on Christmas Eve. The couple have a tradition where they’re allowed to open one present each at midnight, and James had hidden his present for Adele in their Christmas tree. She nearly knocked the tree down searching for the gift, which turned out to be ring-box shaped!
After Adele received the ‘best Christmas present ever’, a princess cut diamond on a white gold band, she set about planning her dream day. Adele and James were engaged for nine months before they married on a sunny autumn day in early October, surrounded by friends, family and love.
