Honeymoons in Quebec

The eastern Canadian province of Quebec is home to the city of the same name: Quebec City. The sole North America city completely enclosed by a wall, Quebec was the first European-built city outside of Spanish America. To celebrate a honeymoon in Quebec is to be transported back in time. The magical atmosphere of this city, rich in history, draws visitors from all over the world. Restaurants, shops and boutiques line the narrow winding streets below old fashioned stone buildings and lend to the old European flavour of North America’s most charming city. If you envision a honeymoon in Quebec surrounded by sidewalk cafes, artists and cobblestone streets – be prepared to make your dream a reality!

Quebec Overview

A honeymoon in Quebec provides a taste of both Europe and North America, perfectly combined. During the summer months especially, the city comes to life as the ‘festival’ fever takes over. Quebec’s Summer Festival is famous internationally. However, the Winter Carnival brings thousands of people to Quebec in February, when this renowned event takes place. For those who enjoy winter time activities, November through February is the perfect time to plan a honeymoon in Quebec.

To guarantee an amazing and memorable honeymoon in Quebec, consider the following ideas.
- A sunset dinner cruise provides it all – a five course meal, live entertainment, and outstanding views of Old Quebec City from the St. Lawrence River.
- A leisurely stroll (or brisk walk!) along the top of the 4.6 km long old city wall will ensure breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River, the city, and of course, the famous Chateau Frontenac.
- Enjoy a sunrise or sunset tour of the city and surrounding areas from your own private hot air balloon. What could be more romantic than snuggling up in a basket with your loved one?
