Co-founders of Mr & Mrs Smith
Mr & Mrs Smith was founded by this husband and wife team more than ten years ago, after a disastrous weekend away. They spotted a gap for a trustworthy independent travel guide, so each took a sabbatical, turned their attention to boutique hotels, and started travelling.
Mr & Mrs Smith looks for places that are small, stylish and memorable and has a collection you would recommend to a good friend, whether they are an inn-with-rooms or a private island retreat. Each hotel is personally visited, and anonymously reviewed, and chosen because it is unique and perfect for couples. Since Mr & Mrs Smith's first (best-selling) guidebook was published in 2003, the travel brand has grown from a labour of love to a global boutique hotel collection. This year, Smith launched a Honeymoons collection and their Little White Book of Honeymoons to help couples find the most unexpected and beautiful places to stay.
