Non Traditional Groomswear

Kjay, 4 of January of 2013 at 16:58 Posted on Planning 0 21

Hello Hitchers,

Boyo likes the idea of grey / tweedy for his wedding day fashion (his words not mine!)

However he is struggling to find something that fits the bill, basically he doesn't want Black / tails / cravat combo,

has anyone had or having anything a bit 'different'?

I also tried to get him to look at brown but he isn't keen- he is worse than me- he knows what he wants in his head but can't find or describe it...?

So if anyone has ANY suggestions at all it will be gratefully appreciated- I have told him I don't care what he wears so long as he is happy and comfy!!

It's not tweed but I loved the suit this groom wore. So much so that I demanded OH track it down, buy and wear it for our own wedding ?

It's from Next I believe (although OH wont be wearing it, boo)

I think a "normal" suit is just as smart as the trad tails or morning suit

    Thanks!

It was from Paul Smith, so super spensive, except we got it int he outlet for £200. Shirt was £90 and tie about £30 so not *too* bad.

I was going to suggest a kilt but realise it isn't everyone's taste. I love the suit in the 5th picture Funky has posted, very smart but a bit different.

Try doing a search for Steampunk suits... it's something a little different, but not so out there that you can't pass at a 'normal wedding'...

Thank you, very nice suit, but too light of a colour to what he wants- I wish their was something in Next/RI/Topshop he liked, would be so much easier!
