Calluses and hard skin

I've noticed that I'm getting a callus on my hand, just below where my ring finger joins my palm. I think its because I wear my wedding ring when I go to the gym. Does anyone else get this? I also get a bit of hard skin at the end of my fingers just either side of my nails. Any, just me? And whats the best way of getting rid/stopping it happening?

I wear a couple of rings all the time and I get hard skin as you describe, and when I was at school I had a callous on my finger where the pen would rest; that is no longer there because I type now. I'm not sure how to stop it happening though unless you remove the cause of the callous. Maybe lots of moisturiser or those pumice things? I've never really been bothered about mine as they're not that obvious.

Have you tried wearing the little gloves you can get at the gym? I found wearing those helped
