Hi everyone... very new to this so appreciate any advice in advance.
We are looking to book a date a year from now... it included the venue and food for the day coming to £19k total.
The venue are looking for an initial deposit of £5,000 which seems pretty high to us, followed by another 7k in jan and the final 7k just before the wedding. (50% would be lost if cancelled >90 days before the wedding and 100% lost if cancelled within 90 days).
In regard to the deposit in particular... is this too high? What is a normal and reasonable deposit?
