Notice to marry

Desperate bride to be here... long story but does anyone have experience of shortening or wavering the notice to marry period. My partner is waiting for a copy of his decree absolute and time to give notice has nearly run out!! Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated x

I really dont think theres any way it can just be waivered or anything, i mean thats sort of precisely why its there, to notify locals that two people wish to marry, so anyone who may object can come forward to do so.

It just has to be at least 28 days before the wedding, so maybe book an appointment now for that day, and if the decree absolute isnt there in time, well then he would still be considered married (although i appreciate this may come through before the wedding itself - they have to have a cut off point)
