Invitations

CountDuckula, 17 of October of 2008 at 13:41 Posted on Planning 0 26

I am after something really simple and elegant for the invitations. No ribbons/feathers/pictures/crystals/themes, just really good quality paper/card, elegant font and I think just a flat thing, rather than a card you open IYSWIM. Has anyone seen seen anything like this? I'm unearthing a load of tat on Google and am losing my patience!

Sounds like exactly what I was after! We decided that as we just wanted a flat good quality piece of card / paper it would be just as easy to make them ourselves, so that is what we are doing. It is soooo cheap it is unbelievable and they look great. H2B designed them by looking through the invitation catalogues that you get free with wedding magazines and pinching the wording and layout of the ones he liked the best. The only cost to us is going to be for the paper / card and envelopes as we are getting them printed at his work.

It is worth a go if you don't mind making them yourself? xx

I know you said that you didn't want ribbon etc but..... Suzanne at prettywild is fantastic and I'm sure she could tailor something to suit and simplify where neccessary. These are a couple of single card invitations I have found.

I have ordered quite a lot of items from Suzanne and the quality and workmanship is first class.

Yes, thanks. I think the third one is nicest although it's not quite 'right' for some reason and I don't know why. I think it's the font.

What about this is the black and red version, but comes in different colours, with either red, gold or silver hearts or diamantes.

Or i can design something especially for your colour scheme

I know what you mean, everything I looked at seemed to looked 'homemade' as opposed to handmade!!! I found what I was looking for at www.musedesignstudio.co.uk I'm really pleased with the proofs they sent me, just waiting for them to be prited now

    Good luck x
