Sound Limiter at Bury Court Barn

HappyBlueFlowers4748, 5 of November of 2018 at 11:42 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi

We have provisionally booked Bury Court Barn for our wedding next year but are a bit concerned about the sound limiter. Does anyone know whether it can cope with a 7 or 8-piece jazz and swing band?

Thanks

Rachel

    Hi Rachel Smiley smile

We have booked entertainment for Bury Court Barn in the past and have bands due to perform there in 2019 and beyond. As far as sound limiters go, it is one of the more forgiving ones in the high 90's (anything below 90db usually causes issues), allowing a lot of bands the ability to work with it.

A large band line up could potentially work, assuming they have the right equipment such as an electric drum kit instead of an acoustic one. This is usually the main culprit!

Here is some further advice on working with sound limiters if you need it - https://www.warble-entertainment.com/blog/sound-limiters-work/

I would suggest letting your band or agent know as soon as possible about the venue, the limiter and ideally what kind of music you would like. They will be able to advise from there with some suitable options to make sure you have an amazing night. Hope this helps.

No advice for Bury Court Barn as never shot there before but just wanted to say the venues I have shot at with sound limiters in place and where the couple had bands they never had any trouble with it.
