Weetabix

Flowmojo, 19 of August of 2013 at 09:16 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 39

A random musing whilst i scoff breakfast this morning..on the Weetabix advert, the show people eating it with berries, or other fruits..sans milk or yoghurt.

Am i the only one in thinking dry weetabix would be like eating sawdust?!?!??!?! DRY WEETABIX?!

I pour a little hot water over mine to make it sot then eat with lashing of cold yoghurt over it!!

I used to eat it smothered in jam when I was a kid? Jam is a bit wet though, I suppose.

I have two with HOT milk and sugar- apparently this causes offence to some!

I had it at 5am today Smiley laugh tho I no longer do it in the microwave after I burnt it so I do milk on the hob then pour it over. (Still think it tasted better from the microwave tho and all that happens now is I burn milk to the bottom of the pan).

My memory of my aunt from when I was little is seeing her eating weetabix smothered in butter. For me it has to be with cold milk (not too much) and sugar (far too much).

Mmm hot milk on cereal or microwaved cereal is brilliant, crunchy nut cornflakes is the only one I can eat cold. Don't knock it till you try it!

At a push I have one with hot milk and sugar. Any more than that makes me gag for some reason! can't actually remember the last time I had weetabix mind.

When I was a kid I did sometimes have them with butter and jam.

I used to love dry weetabix and butter as a kid but I guess that now I'd need a gallon of tea to wash it down with!

I have hot water and cold milk on mine, it's the first time I have ever met anyone else that puts hot water on them, H thinks it's weird. Unfortunately hot water on cereal stems from my childhood when my parents didn't have a lot of money and we couldn't afford to use a lot of milk so we would half and half ☹️

This. It reminds me of doing my older adults placement part of my mental health nursing degree...

I am not into Weetabix at all. When my Dad's Mum was ill with dementia then she could eat 2 or 3 without milk which l think is very impressive!

Milk and sugar on mine. Hot or cold depending how I feel. But I tried the golden syrup ones this week they are nice and no sugar needed.

I'm with Funky on this one. Wheatabix with hot milk stinks and it goes all soggy ?

Only cereal I can eat hot is porridge, even then it has to be the middle of winter.

I love Weetabix with hot milk and an unhealthy amount of sugar. Weetabix with cold milk is a no, the texture is yuk, so I really can't imagine eating it dry.
