MIL goes in to the ward today and I am bricking it.

Please send vibes that

a) She doesn't die
b) They can get the sodding cancer out and the radiotherapy hasn't fried her womb to her pelvis and
c) She gets out of hospital fast so we can go look after her at home.

H is going down to Nottingham in the morning depending on where she is on the operating list. I am staying here to look after the children. We are making get well cards this afternoon I hope I don't cry!

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

UPDATE

It was successful!! They got her womb, cervix, ovaries and tubes out and managed to save her bladder. She lost 8 litres of blood in theatre so it was pretty scary but she is finally FINALLY on the road to recovery. Hitched vibes were sooooooooooooooo appreciated thank you all so so so so so much! Pass the wine!

That does seem harsh not letting anyone into see her. In absence of a spouse then her son should be able to, unless she's in a bit where she's already been prepared for surgery and it would be unhygenic.

Oh K, keeping everything crossed and tons of vibes heading your MIL's way. She does sound like she has been through it, poor love.

My Mum had a call from her dedicated nurse yesterday to confirm she will need radio after all as her cancer wasn't grade A but grade B, at least it isn't grade C as that is the most aggressive. She has her meeting at the hospital next Thursday to go over how often she will need it.
