Is it OK to ask for a discount?

MrsONeill2B, 16 of May of 2012 at 16:38 Posted on Planning 0 5

I am currently looking to buy a sample dress off the peg due to changing the date of our wedding, is it OK to ask for a discount on the price given to me by the shop?

Not sure if this is the done thing and don't want to sound too cheeky!

Thanks in advance,

x

No harm in trying to blag a discount or if you can get a few extras in with the price too, your probably have more luck in a local independent shops rather then a large chain.

I brought a sample dress and asked for some money off, really not expecting anything. They knocked £75 off the price! Definitely worth asking.

You don't ask, you don't get!

Its definately fine to ask, they do it all the time on DTTB! I got £300 off mine just by asking!

Of course! Would you buy a sample/display of anything else for full whack? Probably not. Ask, ask ask.
