Are you only a bride on your wedding day?

Random Name, 19 of November of 2011 at 21:37 Posted on Planning 0 10

The reason I ask is because I have seen a bride badge in the style of the old school prefects badges. They have one that says Hen but I don't like that one.

So would it be odd to wear a badge that says "Bride" on my hen do?

You could wear a badge you like, but usually its obvious that you are the bride on a hens party as you are usually the only one with a veil on & all the extras like a bride sash etc.

I don't want all those bits which is why I like the badge. Can still see its a hen do (the BM's will have badges too) but a bit more discreet.

I've seen girls wearing Bride T'shirts on their hen do's , , so a badge would be fine

Wear all the bride stuff you can, while you have the chance.

Well, you say that but I bought these badges for my friend when I was her bridesmaid and though they were for the hen night, we did end wearing them for the evening party at her wedding Smiley winking see...

LMR, I liked the Bride one better than the Hen one - it'll look nice in your keepsake box too Smiley smile I say go for it! (and take it on your wedding day too ;P)

I think "bride to be" is usual on hen nights.

According to my mother, you are a bride until your first wedding aniversary! It seemed odd to me, but then again, she's a traditionalist, and if you think of Jane Austen-type literature, you often see references to "and he arrived with his new bride" or "we shall pay a visit to Mr Darcy and his new bride".

I like the whole bride for a year! I will wear my badge to the airport and on honeymoon to make the most of it (and to see if I can get some upgrades!)
