My dad used my mum's hat box, covered it in paper that matched our colourscheme and cut a hole in the top for cards to go! it looked fab!

    Hiya

Where are you based? I hire wishing wells and a traditional royal mail post box.

We are not having a postbox- we are stealing this idea from Liverbird:

This is what we are having too - I've bought some postcards based around Mexico as thats our honeymoon destination and will decorate these on the case (somehow haha). I've also seen some vintage/already used and posted postcards and think I'll buy those too (in keeping with the old case then).

    Hi

We offer post boxes in a variety of different card effects and colours to match your chosen theme. We offer either plain sided or with a church window effect cut out. They can also be foiled or monogrammed. We would be happy to discuss further.

    Kind regards

    Maria

I've seen ones that look like real post boxes (or are real post boxes), shame they're cast iron as they cost £££'s! Was thinking of contacting royal mail to see if they have any old ones!!

They say the best form of promotion is a recommendation from an independent third party, so here's the postbox we hired from Natalie at Inspire Me Designs, at our recent wedding.

My wife will be home soon so she can tell you herself Smiley smile

I particularly enjoyed opening it at the end of the evening and gathering all the cards into the mail sack I'd "liberated" from work, which I'd put to one side for any actual presents that people bought.

Strangely enough, we didn't get any toasters.

Ah glad it all turned out well-

Like the use of "wife". I keep forgetting and refering to MrMini as my "boyfriend"- only to be corrected!

I did indeed like the surprise, my Dad is a retired postman and so it had even more significance. Also my parents have a post box not too disimilar to that outside their house and so it was like going home!

A lot of people commented on it at the wedding and said is that real?

Awwww I'm so glad it went down so well and thanks AJ and Caz for the recommendation.

Yes, I do hire this out. £35.00. Please do get in touch if you would like more information.

I bought a garden wishing well (one of those ones that you stick plants in). I'm going to paint it an antique white sort of colour, line it with some sort of silk fabric and get some wish tickets from here:

    https://www.huntergatherer.info/

    to hang over the handle.

Once it's completed, I'll post a piccy to show you (but it might not be for a while yet!)
