I lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks and i did no exercise!

14 of August of 2009 at 09:08 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 41

The secret was increasing my metabalism I would put a protein powder into grapfruit juice in the morning... and then drink grapefruit juice through out the day. It's important to make sure you are drinking your 8-9 cups of water each day too.

For the absolute best results buy the youngliving theraputic grade grapefruit and their balance complete protein shake... put 3 drops of grapefruit oil in your water and drink it through out the day and watch the pounds drop away... the best part is your not harming your body, but you are in fact giving it an amazing healing detox!

  1. Go to www.youngliving.com
  2. click on your country
  3. click on sign up
  4. then choose the kind of customer you want to be (I've found that "independent distributer" gives you 20% off more then the other customer options)
  5. after you agree it'll ask for a sponser's ID or Enroller's ID... and you can use my friend's if you like.... it's: 962055.

I know this sounds like a big sales pitch, but honestly I've got all my girlfriends and family members on to it... and everyone is loosing wieght like crazy!!!

If you don't want to try the youngliving products... just try what I suggested with the grapefruit juice and see if it doesn't make a huge difference. =)

So let's get this straight then - therre are about 100 calories in a glass of grapefruit juice, and if I drink, say, eight cups a day, thus taking in 800 extra calories, I'll lose weight? Woo hoo! Does it also work if I eat three Mars bars a day to get the extra 800 calories?

Do you have lots more weight to lose Amy? You'll probably lose half a stone by next Friday - that will show in pictures.

As a government scientist working in medical research, I am fascinated by the claims you make for this product.

I would certainly appreciate you posting any links to these studies, and a comprehensive list of the toxins that this product removes would also help.

Yeah, lets all chuck in ELMM and get on the grapefruit diet!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amy, just out of interest, and I hate to be so rude when you're so obviously concerned for my waistline, but I'm just wondering whether using your 'friend's' code gets you or her any money perchance? You wouldn't have been so cheeky as to not mention that would you?

And, I forgot to say, welcome to Hitched Amy ???❤️??

Can I just state the obvious? Only taking in restricted calories will make you lose weight anyway... and if its only 800 ( instead of the recommended amount of 2000) all I can say is duh? I am not a biologist, but I know enough about diets and healthy eating to say ok if you want a quick fix... but over a long period of time can only be damaging to your health..... ? rant rant!

Does eating fresh grapefruit work as well? Only I had one for breakfast the other day and I'm wondering if that's why my ankles looked slimmer that day?

I don't like the taste of grapefruit. Do you know if taking 8-9 spoonfuls of tomato sauce will have the same effect? They're stuffed with lycopene, and the such. What do you think? I could try the organic low sugar version to aide proceedings.

i think i can help here

    <dons scientific lab hat>

the good calories are those that result in weight loss. obviously, grapefruit consists only of good calories. and essence of grapefruit (oil, juice and the like) is concentrated, so that means there are extra good calories in them. and that means proper good weightloss.

the bad calories are those that make you fat. and when you exercise, the bad calories get joggled about in your tummy, making them bigger, which makes you bigger.

so.... basically, consume grapefuit (especially the juice and oil stuff) to lose weight, and stay as still as possible so that you don't joggle any bad calories that may remain in your system. actually, thinking about it, after they've moved on from your tummy, the bad calories bed down in the liver. so detoxing the liver is ultra important. may be best to drink even more grapefruit juice...

    huzzah.

(disclaimer - all of the above may or may not be absolute bobbins. however, i told it to some of my friends, and they believe me. a ringing endorsement i think you'll find.)

Wow amy, i'm so impressed at how simple your weightloss system is! How kind of you to come and share it with us.

I have a better one though and its free, its all about moving your lard arse more and eating slightly less every day! Its scientifically proven to work to and is even recommened by hospitals and dr's worldwide!!!!?

Have you never heard of it?

The 15 pounds you lost, have you checked your purse? Hope when you find it, you can pay for a few pics to prove the system you are telling us all about, works.

Sounds great, I love grapefruit! However I could not cope with no exercise for two weeks - I would go absolutely stir-crazy. And I wouldn't be able to get to work, as I wouldn't be able to cycle, which I also love.

So after announcing the virtuous wonders of snake oil grapefruit oil, you're going to switch it to lemon, peppermint or fennel oil? just like that?

all of my scientifical research was done on the basis of grapefruit. i'm going to have to start all over again now.

anyway, i weigh around 160lbs and i think i'm going to follow your diet. i'm going to drink grapefruit juice, then water, and then i'm going to mcdonald's to pork out on cheeseburgers and apple pies. i'll just print off your food list above, and then i'm going to stop exercising. i don't really have the time for it to be honest, i'd rather spend the time eating/drinking water instead.

    wish me luck!

Erm, I think he might want slightly more robust scientific references than a load of yoga/herbal/aromatherapy websites.

How about some actual peer-reviewed published randomised controlled trials?

I can thoroughly research ancient greece through judicious use of "ancient" "greece" and "history" in google, doesn't mean i'll come up with anything meaningful ?

however, from reading the above links, i've a few comments...

general one - who wrote these pieces? other than someone peddling something i mean.

    from the "organic facts.net" link

ANTIOXIDANT - "the oil protects the body from harmful oxidants..... like ageing...loss of vision and hearing..." - is there actual proof of this? seriously? have proper controlled studies been carried out? it's a fairly big claim to be making to be honest.

APERITIF - it claims that a regular dose can increase your appetite. but you said it helped you lose weight? how do these match up? do you eat more, but piss out the extra calories (good or bad? actually - amy, you never clarified abou the good/bad calories.)

i'll ignore the Aromatherapy4u link - that's definitely peddling the oil.

the yogawiz link... the info is remarkably similar to the first link you put up. hmmm.

from the herbs.ygoy.com...benefits of grapefruit essential oil link:

    1) REMOVES TOXINS - who "believes" that grapefruit essential oil promotes urination? is it just a "belief" or have there been actual tests, double checks and scientifically robust studies done?

    2) IMPROVES DIGESTION - grapefruit essential oil stimulates the secretion of gastric juices, enzymes etc... well, doesn't any food do that? gastric juices etc are required to digest food, surely. so all food does that? am prepared to be corrected, am not science bod.

    3) REMOVES TOXINS - re the removal of uric acid helping kidney function. my H suffers from gout. he was specifically told by a medical expert who specialises in this field, and who suffered from gout himself, not to drink citric fruit juice or eat grapefruit and other citric fruits due to the impact it was having on him - ie it triggered gout attacks. now, i know that gout can be triggered by many different things by many different people, but he was told that the grapefruit juice he'd been quaffing was actually helping build up uric acid, which was crystalising in his joints, resulting in gout. which isn't good. it's quite bad actually.

ok, the one that is recurring re: TREATS DEPRESSSION or "helps" depression gets me. so the grapefruit oil smells nice and therefore is "uplifting" and that relaxes nerves, uplifts spirits and, i'm assuming, acts as a general "depression-be-gone" then? sorry. i don't think so. where's the proof?

    Done!

now, i can quite happily tap in "grapefruit oil" and "toxins" into google and churn up a hundred links like those you've put up. i don't call that research.

now, if i weren't sitting at home bored, i'd probably give up now and tell you that fair enough, if this is what you believe works, then crack on and drink your snake oil and eat your burgers and be done with it.

but, well, i'm sitting at home bored. is this really, honestly, your recommended weightloss guide? supported by some Spa Garden author (oh, how scientific that sounds). i'm utterly gobsmacked by some of the claims to be honest, and the fact that there is no evidence, no proof and no links to properly carried out studies at all just makes me think that it's a load of old tosh. sorry if i've overstepped the mark here, but i don't really want to leave this unchallenged, especially as i've no idea who you are, and what your links are to this so called "diet", particularly in terms of selling/profiteering from it.

i think i'd rather not spend the money on some hokum and instead eat less, and move more.

(sorry P&AP if i've stepped on your toes there...)

This book wouldn't happen to be your Young Living pamphlet now, would it?

i'll ignore your tangent - although if you want to get smart ar$e with me i'd ask you what colour your parachute was and come up with some cod-psychology myself.

Do you think you could advertise a diet saying "lose 10 pounds in a week", then charge people £10 for a load of rubbish and claim your ad was accurate? ?

    (No, neither do I ?)

But not one of those studies specifically mentions any weight loss properties associated with your product. Some of them barely mention it at all.

You really are a laughable fraud. ?
