Five Unique Ways to Feature Flowers at your Wedding

by Fran @ Hitched

Flowers will probably play a part at your wedding in one way or another; whether they’re featured in your bridal bouquet, on your ceremony table, or are the main focus when it comes to your wedding reception décor.

Below are five incredible ways to display flowers at your wedding.

Flowers in her hair

This incredible image, captured by AphroditeNet Photography, shows a bride wearing a pretty garland of daisies in her hair.  Experiment with different floral headwear ideas if you’re getting married outside in a garden or in the middle of an enchanted wood.

Oversized bouquets

Oversized bouquets seem to be all the rage at the moment. They look incredible and will stand out immensely in your wedding photography.  Newlywed Caroline Wyatt carried an oversized bouquet on her wedding day. Here is what she had to say, “I loved everything about my bouquet - the colour, the choice of flower and especially the size! I just wanted to hold onto if for as long as I could - you only have it for such a short time! It was, however, quite heavy, which is something I had not considered when choosing an oversized bouquet. Either way, I loved it and didn't want to let go!”

Ostentatious floral décor

If you’ve dedicated a large portion of your wedding budget to decorating your wedding venue, then why not speak to your florist and see how creative you can be.  The images below show that flowers can lead the way at your wedding when it comes to making it look sensational.

There’s no sweeter way to display flowers at your wedding than featured on sweet treats.  The floral wedding cakes and cookies below have been creatively designed by Sweetness Cake Boutique.  If you’re not having a full sized wedding cake then opt for floral cupcakes, or offer floral cookies as wedding favours or place names at your tables. I’m in love with these images!

Blooms Forever

If you want to keep hold of your bridal bouquet forever, then why not convert it into a statement piece of jewellery! Yes – you can have your wedding flowers turned into something to wear forever more, reminding you of your wedding day in years to come. All of the jewellery below has been created by Blooms Forever (www.bloomsforever.co.uk), an idea created from the team behind the Flower Preservation Workshop in Somerset. Simply send your wedding flowers into Blooms Forever (full instructions on their website) and specify what you’d like them to be turned into; a bracelet, a necklace or a set of earrings. Your jewellery will not only be a talking point amongst your friends, but you could also give jewellery as a gift to your mother or new mother-in-law so that they too can remember your wedding day forever.
