Bridezilla Tells Facebook Friends to "Stick" Their Wedding Advice in Furious Rant

by Sophie@hitched

An unnamed woman has been dubbed a “bridezilla” after she warned her Facebook friends not to ask about her wedding plans.

The bride-to-be ranted about the questions she’d been asked in a lengthy Facebook post, showing particular annoyance towards those who aren’t even on the guest list!

The post has gone viral after being shared on parenting site Mumsnet, with many users branding her “rude”.

“The amount of questions I have been asked about our wedding is getting ridiculous and by people who won’t even be invited”, the rant began.

The soon-to-be-married Facebook user continued: “Yes I am changing my name, yes I have picked my bridesmaids (they know who they are), yes (my partner) did pick the ring all by himself and yes it was a complete surprise.

No we aren’t getting married in Scotland, children will be invited but only selected ones, only Scottish people can wear kilts and yes there will be dancing.”

The furious bride concluded her post by saying: “Also, (my fiancé) and I are the last people who need advice on how to plan and deliver an event so kindly take your “helpful advice” and stick it!”

The post has opened up a debate about whether or not the bride-to-be is justified with her rant or totally out of order, with many commenters agreeing that her message is "very rude".

One Mumsnet user responded by saying: “Oh my goodness. That’s one of those messages you type out and don’t sent. Ouch!”

Many have suggested most people don’t even care about her upcoming nuptials, and are just trying to make small talk.

One user wrote: “I doubt most people who are asking questions give a crap about her wedding… it’s just polite small talk to ask how it’s going. Very rude.”

Another agreed: “I don’t think anyone cares about her wedding half as much as she thinks they do.”

Others expressed sympathy for her husband-to-be: “Wow what a lucky man the groom is!!”
