Deliveroo Launch Wedding Catering Service - And They Have Their First Customer
Food delivery service Deliveroo have announced that they are moving into the world of wedding catering.
While previously brides-to-be could only use the app to scratch that late night Byron Burger itch, couples will now be able to get cuisines of all kind delivered straight to their wedding venue.
The very first Deliveroo-catered wedding will be taking place later this year, with bride-to-be Martha Macgregor excited about adding a "relaxed takeaway vibe" to her special day.
She is tying the knot in December at the Trinity Buoy Wharf in Blackwall, East London, and will have a Deliveroo-delivered wedding breakfast.
Martha said, "No two couples are the same, so why should we settle for
the same venues, songs and meals?
"We loved the idea of having a relaxed
takeaway vibe but wanted to make sure it was tasty and amazing food, hence
Naturally the wedding service is separate to the app (can you imagine ordering 150 katsu curry from your local Wagamama through that!)
Instead, the food will come from Deliveroo's large delivery-only kitchens and you'll get a dedicated account manager to talk you through all the amazing food options for your big day.

Deliveroo's Joe Groves said, "The wedding industry represents a huge opportunity for
Deliveroo, we’re not strangers to delivering orders for large groups so we
jumped at the chance to flex our caterer muscles and help Martha create an
amazing menu for her guests.”
Founded in 2013, Deliveroo now works with 35,000 restaurants so there'll definitely be plenty of choice for your guests.
