The team at Houchins were exceptional from start to finish. They were professional, organised, and incredibly supportive, making sure everything ran smoothly so we could relax and enjoy every moment. Nothing felt rushed, and their attention to detail really showed. We had an amazing day at Apton Hall. The planning process was painless and on the day everything went very smoothly and the Apton Hall team did a great job taking care of everything including coordinating with all the different suppliers. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all. All the guests commented on the beautiful venue. The layout with the bar next to the dance floor made for a great party in the evening. And even when the unexpected happened, Apton Hall staff went above and beyond to sort it out so we and the guests could carry on enjoying the party. Thank you and keep up the great work!

My wife was enamoured with Maidens Barn just from their website, photos she’d seen posted, and the reviews she’d read, but of course we still wanted to view the venue in person before locking in a decision. She was right. We attended an open day in February 2024 and everything looked amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the venue was beautiful. The team kindly invited us to visit again in a few weeks so my family could also have a look around, and likewise they loved the venue. We booked for our Feb 2026 wedding and never looked back. Throughout the two-year process the team at Maidens Barn were communicative and professional every step of the way. We were probably quite needy but honestly the team couldn’t do enough for us. We were lucky enough that the barn was not in use the day before our wedding, so we were invited to come and set up for our big day. We did so and being able to look around the venue again and get our decorations and things in place help to calm our nerves. We also got to test the music system with our setup and it was reassuring to know everything was ready to go. On the day itself, everything went perfectly and we know this was due to the team working so hard behind the scenes. Our guests were full of praise for all of the team members who were friendly and professional throughout, and so very helpful. Everyone also loved the venue as much as we did – they were telling us how beautiful the barn looked and also how nice the onsite accommodation was. The next morning we had a continental breakfast with our guests that was included in the price of the overnight stays. Everything was delicious and locally sourced and it was such a nice touch to round off the event. Again the guests spoke very highly of it. After the wedding, without being asked Maidens Barn reimbursed the leftover drinks tab. The team are honest and hardworking and genuinely invested in giving you the best experience possible and making the day how you want it to be. They care about what it is you want and are incredibly flexible and passionate. We are so glad we chose Maidens Barn for our special day and cannot thank their team enough. We have no reservations whatsoever in recommending this venue. Such a beautiful location and an amazing team who will not let you down!

The staff at High House were absolutely incredible, so attentive, kind and friendly. Every single guest had a compliment to pay to the staff. They all went above and beyond and made the day extra perfect. Our wedding coordinator Harriet was brilliant and answered any and every equation we had a on the lead up to the day and regular meetings to see how we were getting on. The venue itself is absolutely stunning all our guests were blown away, there were multiple beautiful areas. The grounds were gorgeous, the barn and orangery breathtaking

First and foremost, Smeetham Hall Barn is absolutely stunning. It is truly a magical space that took our breath away the moment we arrived. Every little detail has been so thoughtfully considered, and watching everything come together on the night felt like stepping into a dream. The atmosphere, the lighting, the setting - it was all perfect. But what really made the experience exceptional was Sophie. She is an absolute star. From the very beginning, she guided us through every step with so much kindness, patience, and professionalism. No question was ever too silly, no request ever too much trouble. On the day itself, she handled everything so seamlessly that we were able to just relax and soak in every moment, knowing we were in the best hands possible. Thanks to Sophie and the entire wonderful team at Smeetham, our night was nothing short of magical. We are genuinely so grateful for everything they did to make our wedding unforgettable.

Our daughter and son in law held their wedding here on 21st September 2025. We found all the staff polite,professional and helpful. A number of the guests said they had never been to a wedding where the food portions were so generous and the venue lovely. We stayed overnight. The rooms were spacious, clean and beds very comfortable. The morning after the wedding. Some of the staff helped us clear and pack away. The table decorations, vases etc. we personally would highly recommend Vaulty Manor. Remember, if you talk to and treat people respectfully. They will be very helpful and do all they can for you.

We couldn’t have dreamed of a better wedding venue or better hosts than Nic and Carol. They went above and beyond from start to finish and were genuinely invested in making our day perfect. They added so much fun and positive energy, and ensured everything ran smoothly. The venue itself is a beautiful indoor/outdoor space that worked perfectly for our day. Nic and Carol have so many ideas to bring so you’re not starting completely from scratch! They were completely supportive of us bringing in our own vendors and worked with each of them with ease. An unforgettable day—highly, highly recommended!

As a bride, this venue will always hold such special memories for us. From the moment we went to view Gaynes Park, everything felt warm, calm and genuinely cared for. The setting is beautiful, the team are thoughtful and attentive, and the whole day flowed effortlessly allowing us to truly relax and enjoy the day. It also felt incredibly special on a personal level. My husband Phil is from Derbyshire, and there was something about this place that instantly made it feel like home, familiar and welcoming in a way that meant a great deal to us both. Now, as a photographer and content creator working in the wedding industry, I see venues very differently, and that perspective only deepens my appreciation. Behind the scenes, the organisation, communication and support for suppliers is excellent. There’s a real understanding of how a wedding day needs to function, not just how it looks. From a creative point of view, it’s a joy to work in well-considered and beautiful spaces and a calm, supportive team that understands how important timing and flow are for capturing real moments. What guests experience out front is just as strong as what happens quietly behind the scenes. I recommend this venue wholeheartedly to couples looking for a heartfelt, effortless wedding day, and as a supplier who genuinely values working with venues and teams that share the same care, standards and heart for what they do.

What can I say about this place apart from perfect! The best venue anyone could wish for for their big day. The staff were amazing and very accommodating from start to finish. There were many questions we had and were answered in the best way to put our minds at ease. They are so easy to talk to! There was a power cut right before our ceremony but it was handled and dealt with in a professional manner and couldn't do more to find ways around it to keep us calm! It didn't affect our day at all. The bridal prep room was lovely and the accommodation was spot on. The grounds made for beautiful and unforgettable pictures to look back on in years to come. We want to do it all again! We honestly couldn't have asked for a better day.

Dear Julia, every time we met we always enjoyed the planning process, you made all of those decisions very easy and fun. Your advice certainly came with some great ideas for things that we didn’t even consider. We had a fantastic and very memorable day at The Barn. From the team at the event to everyone being cared for so well, the service, food & drink was just perfect. We already know some friends that are returning for dinner, we will be doing the same shortly. Once we get some photos over we will share some with you.
