Wedding Venues in Berkshire

I attended a wedding, just before the end of the year, of a couple who wanted the gravitas of a beautiful historic building in which to exchange their vows, in their case in a humanist ceremony. Decorated with breath-taking simplicity, the Town Hall's largest space - the grand Corn Exchange - hosted about 160 guests for a happy, serious and very personal ceremony. It is difficult to image anything more perfect. What a joyous occasion.

Thank you to everyone at Elcot Park for making our wedding day so wonderful. From the beautiful setting, to the delicious food and drink, it was everything we had hoped for. In particular, thank you to Ella, who was on hand for the entire planning process and on the day, to ensure everything went to plan. Nothing was too much trouble. Her kindness and professionalism was so appreciated and she was even on hand to calm our nerves right before the ceremony! Everything ran smoothly, and every detail was thought of - meaning that we could completely relax and enjoy the day. We cannot recommend this highly enough as a wedding venue.

We celebrated our wedding at Stirrups in May and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue. From the moment we arrived , we were struck by how much character the place has. It is charming, full of personality and has beautiful gardens. The staff were very attentive on the day and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Especially Sam and Brent who were amazing on the day. Our guests loved the food, from the delicious wedding breakfast to the evening buffet. On the morning of the wedding my mum and I were treated to a fresh fruit platter and hot rolls, which were really yummy and a thoughtful touch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how stunning it all looked. Stirrups will always hold a special place in our hearts and we highly recommend it for weddings and functions!

Our wedding day was everything we could have ever dreamed of. From start to finish Lili and Hannah were both amazing and any little thing we needed or asked they came through and made sure there was no stress. Nothing was too much of an ask for them, and they truly made everything so easy. We cannot thank the team there enough - Lili you were a dream to work with, even though you couldn’t be there on the actual day, everything in the lead up was spot on. Hannah you were amazing on the day, stepping in when you needed to, staying later for us even though you weren’t supposed to. It’s this kind of going over and above expectations that made our day one of a kind. Thank you all again. Lauren and Tom xx

Royal Berkshire Hotel was an incredible venue, matched by an equally incredible team. From start to finish, we felt fully supported and well informed throughout the planning process, with no question or request ever feeling like too much trouble. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. Dominika, Sam, and the entire RBH team truly delivered the day of our dreams - and exceeded every expectation. Would highly recommend for any couples searching for their perfect venue!

We had our wedding at trunkwell house, and it was truly the most magical day of our lives! From the moment we first visited, we knew this was the one. The setting is breathtaking — beautifully landscaped grounds, elegant interiors, and that perfect blend of charm and sophistication. The staff went above and beyond in every way. Sophie was an absolute dream to work with — responsive, organised, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail was flawless. On the big day, the team made everything run seamlessly so we could just relax and soak in every moment. A special shout out to Rene who absolutely made the wedding day what it was, his attention to detail and ensuring we was happy all day didn’t go a miss and the day wouldn’t have been the same without him! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, the atmosphere, and the stunning venue. The ceremony felt intimate and romantic, and the reception space transformed into the most incredible celebration spot. Cantley House Hotel, specifically Emma, made planning the wedding a dream from the initial meeting to the big day. Emma has always been on hand to answer all questions and put together our plan for the day. Cantley House offer a range of packages to fit to your budget including micro wedding, exclusive hire, and midweek/Sunday. All additional charges are priced and agreed upon ahead of time. We were able to set up the ceremony room the evening before and store boxes for the day in the hotel overnight. We were even able to store the cakes in the function fridge the night before. Emma was on hand to help in the morning as the groom and friends set up the briar room for the wedding breakfast. This ensured everyone had plenty of time to get ready before the ceremony. Dianne and the team ensured the smooth running of the day and made the two of us feel relaxed and spoiled. As we exited the ceremony in the oak room she was waiting with a mug of mulled cider for us both and ensured a plate of canapés were behind the bar for us after photos. Our room for the night and breakfast were included in the package. There was a whirlpool bath in our room which was perfect for relaxing in. Breakfast was in the stables restaurant with continental buffet and hot food options to order. It was exactly what was needed after a day of celebration. I can’t recommend Cantley House enough from the support during the planning to the seamless execution of the day.

We had a fantastic wedding at Fredericks Hotel and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From start to finish, we felt completely supported and everything went exactly as planned. Bryan was absolutely fantastic, guiding us through every step and making sure every detail was perfect. We held our ceremony in the beautiful garden, which we decorated ourselves, and also prepared the décor for our dinner in the Garden Suite. The staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating our plans and had everything prepared from their end a day in advance, which made the whole day run seamlessly. The food was delicious, and the wedding suite we stayed in was beautiful. We’re grateful to the whole team at Fredericks for making our wedding truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!
