Perfect location for an intimate Civil Ceremony
Paul and I fell in love with the Woodlands Hotel at first sight, it was a perfect blend of old fashioned exterior, and modern chic interior. We had decided we wanted a small, intimate ceremony followed by a sit down meal for just our closest family and friends. Lauren and the rest of the Woodlands team helped plan our day and made the whole process so stress free for us both. The day itself was faultless, the hotel provided fantastic food, drinks on the terrace, and accommodated our guests in their splendidly luxurious bedrooms. We couldn't have asked for a better location, or a more hard working team of professionals to trust with our special day.

Great Day
Firstly, when we came to Woodlands, rather than giving us a large sales pitch and taking up hours of time, they were straight forward and efficient to deal with. Prices were clear and we never felt as if we were being sold to. They were available within a few days if we needed to speak to you and very accommodating for the specific requirements that we had. Nigel had been extremely helpful and went “above and beyond” with helping us with the sweet display for example. That followed on durin the day itself – he was always around but without being intrusive. I really can’t praise him highly enough from what I saw and also from what Sam and the Bridesmaids tells me. In terms of the catering on the day – this was first class, just as we expected it would be from our previous experiences. This also goes for the evening before. We have had universally positive feedback from all our guests about how good and how much food there was. In addition the service was excellent. Having staff offering the evening food around is definitely a better way than having a buffet for people. The only slight criticism (and this is just a very small issue) was that the soup was just a little “stringy”. Thanks for a great day

We recommend Woodlands to anyone who will listen
We're back from honeymoon and very much enjoying married life. We couldn't have been happier with how the wedding ran. From the first visit, through all of the preparations to the running of the day and night we don't have a single complaint. The service from yourself and all staff has been exceptional and we felt any issue or question was addressed immediately. My dad also wants to as he has not stopped raving about what a wonderful day he had and how fantastic Woodlands and all the staff were. The gentleman who ran the day and evening as he too was fantastic. I hope you're well and thanks once again for helping to make our wedding wonderful. I will be recommending Woodlands to anyone who will listen :-)

Our perfect wedding
We got married this weekend at the Woodlands hotel and we had the most perfect day! The whole team has been great throughout the day. Jessica, our wedding coordinator helped us organise everything and really made sure we had all that we wanted. Helped by Nigel, Emily and the staff team, she ensured that all that was planned ran smoothly. The venue was beautiful, we got wonderful pictures inside and outside in the hotel grounds. Our guests were all enchanted by the marquis, their rooms, the food...all this made our day the most unique and woderful. We definetely recommend the Woodlands as a wedding venue and also for a nice romantique weekend in Yorkshire. We cannot thank them enough, really.

absolutely everything was just perfect
Mark and I wanted to say a big thank you for all of the effort you and the team at Woodlands went to to make our day so special; absolutely everything was just perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our wedding day. The guests have all said what a happy atmosphere it was and a great New Years celebration. The hotel looked beautiful and the venue was perfect and more than exceeded our expectations (I would highly recommend booking full exclusivity of the hotel for such an occasion as it allowed the guests to relax and move around the hotel freely).The staff were great, so polite and helpful and a massive thank you to Sheena for running a tight ship on the evening and throughout the night, and thank you to Anna for everything too (she has a great manner and was smiley and helpful throughout the evening). The food was lovely throughout the day; canapes, wedding breakfast and evening buffet, all great quality and plenty of it. I honestly don't think anything went wrong at all! Lastly, a massive thank you to you Lauren for your support and guidance throughout what was a short notice wedding; you kept us calm and sane and have a great gift of making us feel like we're your only priority when I'm sure there are lots of weddings on your 'to do' list! Thank you so much (again and again)

Wonderful Christmas Day
We had a wonderful time at the Woodlands on Christmas Day everything was perfect, it started by being greeted by your lovely receptionist who took our coats and offered Buck's Fizz while we took a seat in the lounge area where we had a very short wait for our table to be ready, we relaxed listening to the lovely piano music (a fabulous finishing touch) in no time at all we were shown to our table which was a pleasent surprise as we were a little early. The food was delicious as always, the service was excellent and everything flowed like clockwork we didn't feel rushed or under pressure it was lovely and relaxing and what we felt a nice touch was having coffee and mince pies (though we were too full to eat them) relaxing in the lounge rather than at our table this was more relaxing and less formal and we thought it a perfect ending to the lunch. For us the lunch couldn't have been better it brought memories of our wedding day at your hotel flooding back and it was so perfect. We would have liked to stay over but it's an expensive time of year and funds did not allow this time perhaps next year :-) As usual team Woodlands excelled yourselves well done!

Our Christmas Party was brilliant!
Our Christmas Party was brilliant! Everything about the evening was perfect from dealing with you throughout the planning, the minute we arrived for pre-dinner drinks to the end of the night. The feedback from everyone about the food was 10/10, not one complaint. We enjoyed it so much that we would like to book the same room for next Christmas Many thanks once again.

Lovely xmas party
Everyone had a lovely time thank you. As I mentioned to you before, my hubby and I have been several times and love it there so I was glad when the rest of the party were suitably impressed by their rooms, the food and the surroundings. We will certainly be back when we can think of a suitable excuse for a party! The only very minor niggle that has been fed back to me is that a couple of people were not keen on the DJ’s “attitude”. He asked for requested but only seemed to want to play what he wanted to. Other than that it was great! Please keep me informed if you decide to put on any events that we might be able to attend. Thank you for your help in sorting everything out for us – much appreciated.

professional service
So so sorry I am late in replying to you but since we got married our life has been so busy! We went to NYC for our honeymoon was fantastic but got caught up with the hurricane. But was still amazing. I wanted to say a big thank you for all your hard work that you help to make our wedding so perfect! Me and Daniel was so happy with all your professional hard work that you and all your colleagues provided us and all our guest was very impressed too especially with our perfect venue! I want to do it all again but hopefully I will be only doing it that once, and I have some great photos and memory's to look back to! I will definitely be recommending your venue and the professional service that comes with it too! Thanks again for more than a perfect day.

Very Helpful
Can you pass on my thanks to the restaurant staff last night that looked after me. The lady with dark hair was particularly lovely and made for a very relaxed experience. The Gentleman also serving was extremely polite and helpful. (I'm sorry that I didn't catch their names) I will be recommending the hotel to friends and colleagues.
