Wonderful wedding
The staff at the Talbot are amazing. You would think that yours is the only wedding they are co-ordinating and catering for. Nothing is too much trouble. All my guests said the venue was amazing - very beautiful. I cannot recommend them enough.

Beautiful venue, amazing food!
The Talbot is a beautiful venue that mixes old wooden beams with contemporary features. We loved that we could have the ceremony and reception both here and with a good number of bedrooms for guests to stay it really felt homely and relaxed. The food was amazing and we were able to pick our own menu to match our theme. Many of our guests commented on the quality of the food. The staff were always friendly and helpful and they were very flexible, helping us accommodate all our ideas to make our day special and unique. We had a wonderful day and would definitely recommend this venue.

I was recently an usher at my brother’s civil partnership; I attended some of the “wedding” planning meetings at the Talbot and was more surprised on each visit by how amazing Jenny was, my brother and his partner were made to feel like any other couple in love and Jenny (as it should be) was not at all bothered that she was arranging a wedding for two men, we had meetings at 9 in the morning and one at 9 in the evening as we got stuck on the M25 and were 2 hours late, but she waited for us. On the day she guided everyone through the event and made sure she was on hand all evening even staying to the very end to ensure all was well with the Disco. The two grooms who are now on honeymoon were so impressed they bought her a little gift. The whole wedding was “bespoke” nothing was too much trouble; she even made sure long island ice teas were on the bar. If you’re looking for a bespoke day at a bespoke venue the Talbot and jenny will ensure any couple have an amazing day So although I was only an usher and the grooms will no doubt add their comments Jenny thanks for an amazing day.

December Wedding
We got married at the Talbot in December 2011. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially Jen, and we had the most wonderful day. Everything ran like clockwork and the hotel was beautifully decorated. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Talbot! Even though some of our family can be a bit awkward we were so impressed with your tact and professionalism. We could not recommend the Talbot enough as a wedding venue and we will definitely be visiting again, if only for the fabulous food!

Our wedding with good food and character
My wife and I chose the Talbot for our wedding because of its great food and the venues character.The Wedding co-ordinator Jen was very professional and friendly. We have visited The Talbot 3 times in the build up to our wedding for food and drinks and the Staff were always very polite and helpful.The Food was always spot too. I would definitely recommend this Venue for a Wedding or a weekend Stay. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Friends Wedding
I was a guest at The Talbot Inn this year. I really cant understand the previous comment as my room was fantastic! The wedding planner Jen was supurb and nothing was too much trouble. The DJ had the place rocking! He was a great guy and played all our requests. Thank you Talbot Inn for a wonderful day :)

We were marrried here yesterday....
We were married here yesterday, and I really have to disagree with the review below. We found the wedding planner Jen to be extremely helpful and focused, with great professionalism. The food (black bream and crab risotto) was absolutely delicious, the dj included as part of the package really listened to our musical preferences so we had exactly what we wanted to dance to. All our guests also had a superb time, the rooms are comfortable, especially our lovely 4-poster in the old part of the inn.

Our Lovely Wedding
We had our wedding here on sat 17th march . Just wanted to write a quick review to say what a fantastic day we and all our guests had. Jen our wedding co-ordinator was amazing to the point of getting me mints just before I walked down the aisle and me having no stress or nerves at any point during the whole day. The dj was great and kept the dance floor busy even managing to play the odd requests from my guests! A wedding is about everyone having a great time and celebrating the bride and groom! Thank you Jen and the talbot inn staff truly fantastic...any bride and groom about to get married here,look forward to it they will look after you x

Best day of our life
Well well well!! I don't even know where to begin from start to finish this was simply the best day of my life! Jen my wedding co-ordinator was absolutely fantastic I could not fault her at all, and her sidekick Gareth was also amazing they made me, my new husband, and all of our guest feel so welcome(aswell as all the other staff). The night before the wedding me & my maid of honour was aloud access to the wisely room and spent until 3am!! Decorating the venue the staff were so helpful even the receptionist Alan came and offered us tea & coffee at 2am we were very grateful. When we awoke in the morning Jen came to see us to make sure we were happy and everything was running smoothly, I can't believe how attentive she was. Then as the ceremony drew closer she came and explained everything that was going to happen and lead me, my dad, my maid of honour, & 8 bridesmaids ( I know 8 bridesmaid I'm nuts) to the ceremony room where she helped all the girls with there que of walking down the aisle. After the ceremony I was not questioned by Jen at all I had explained how I wanted my tables arranged(previosly in our meetings) and when I walked back into the room where we were having the meal I just wanted to cry jen & Gareth had organised the tables excactly how I had imagined it, it looked beautiful! Me & my husband thoroughly enjoyed the whole day I can't even explain in words how great everything was. Oh I haven't mentioned the DJ. Well the dj was great he played everything me & my guests asked for and had the dancefloor packed pretty much all night!

Our Wedding Reveiw
We had a couple of meals at the hotel and a wander round prior to choosing it as our wedding venue. My husband and I were married at the Talbot on 25th March 2012. Our wedding co-ordinator was exceptional, Jen O'Rouke, going above and beyond what one would expect from a co-ordinator. The whole experience was painless, every detail was carried out to our exact specification, without any fuss. We understand that the Talbot hosts many weddings and in essence, its a business. However, we did not feel, "one of many", we felt our wedding was treated as the most important, our needs and feelings were taken into account at all levels, we were not "encouraged" to have anything we did not want or to "up" our budget for sundaries. We stayed in the main part of the hotel, in the room with the four poster, the night after our wedding. Everything was delightful, the room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable. There was a little bit of noise from the road outside in the morning, but this is to be expected, given the room's location and did not distract from our experience in any way. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they cannot do enough for guests, this was evidenced by feedback from our guests, many of whom stayed the night at the hotel. All the guests commented on the venue, it's staff and the high quality of our wedding fare. We are so pleased we chose the Talbot to hold our wedding celebrations and hope to return soon for a meal, but also to stay overnight on our wedding aniversary. Thank you to all who made our day so complete on our very special day.

WEDDING
We had our Wedding on Saturday and we had an awesome day at the Talbot. All of the staff are polite and professional and on more than one occasion went the extra step. For example a member of staff called Gareth loaned one of our guests his own phone charger! The package we had was terrific and from booking, menu tasting through to the day it's self all went without a hitch. This was in no small part down to the diligence and hard work of Jen, The Talbots Wedding Coordinator. Jen has been brilliant and is a real asset to The Talbot. Despite managing a busy schedule (and no doubt working some crazy hours!) Jen always saw to it that everything was arranged and helped us ensure the wedding was a success. Our guests commented on what a lovely venue, the quality of the food etc.

Our Wedding
We had our whole wedding at The Talbot Inn. It was a fantastic day from start to finish and ran very smooth. Jen, our wedding coordinator, worked so hard on the day and monitored every plate of food that was served from the kitchens. She was friendly yet professional and went the extra mile. The rooms looked stunning when set up and I couldn't wish for anything more perfect. All of the guests have complimented the venue, with it's quirky unique charm and friendly atmosphere. We are extremely happy that we chose The Talbot for our wedding day and will definitely be recommending to friends and family. I would like to thank all of the staff for the their help on the day making it one to remember!
