perfect day!!!
We had our wedding last week, and it was superb! couldn't be any better. Lucinda and the rest of the staff of the Star Inn were so helpful and efficient. Food, service room, location were more than perfect. It weather was a bit gloomy but it didn't affect the atmosphere inside, everyone enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you so much everyone in Star Inn.

A fantastic day!
We had a fantastic wedding day at The Star. It ran so smoothly thanks to the work of Lucinda and her team. We found ourselves completely relaxed and able to enjoy the day to the full. The food was excellent, surroundings lovely and staff friendly. We wish we could do it all again as it was so brilliant!

Wonderful Wedding Day !
Our wedding day went better than we could have hoped, and we had good weather to! Superb venue, friendly professional staff, lovely rooms and the food was fantastic (several people have said to us it was the best wedding food they have ever had). Lucinda and Damian and all of the Staff did an amazing job from start to finish and we would definitely wholeheartedly recommend The Star at Alfriston as a wedding venue

A wonderful day!
Our wedding day at the Star Inn was just perfect. Lucinda and her team couldn't do more to ensure the day ran smoothly. The ceremony room was gorgeous, the dining room looked beautiful and all our guests loved the food. A huge thank you to everyone for making our day so special.

Perfect Day
We got married on the 8th October 2011 and right from my stay there the night before everything was perfect. All the staff were so efficient and the turn-round from ceremony room to function was faultless everything looked exactly as I imagined it would! All our guests commented on the food and one even wrote in our guest book "that beef was amazing!" Lots of our guests have said to us how everything was so well organised so a great big thank you to all at the Star for our pefect day.

The Star helped to make our wedding day perfect.
We want to say a massive thankyou to everybody who helped make our wedding day at The Star so perfect. The location is stunning, very tranquil and that reflects in the hotel itself aswell. The food was amazing, and all of our guests agreed. The staff were always there to help, especially Lucinda who conducted the day with perfection. The rooms are all lovely, the Heritage suite inparticular where our ceremony was carried out.We have no complaints and would highly recommend The Star to any body, we intend to return soon as husband and wife.

Just Perfect
A big thank you to Lucinda and all the staff at The Star who helped to make our day just perfect. Lucinda made the day run smoothly making sure everyone was where they were meant to be at the right time and considering there was 80 of us she did a grand job. A wonderful venue
Thank you to all the staff at The Star for making our special day run smoothly and was such an enjoyable experience for us and all our guests. From the very start of our planning Lucinda was so helpful and efficient in a friendly way. All our guests fell in love with the village; the food was exceptional and the rooms and general upkeep of the venue was superb. We could not falult a thing. Thank you from all 70 of our guests, especially from us as you guided the day, worked so hard in changing the rroms for each part of the day and gave us perfect service. We loved every minute!

My husband and I cannot recommend The Star enough.
My husband and I cannot recommend The Star enough. Everything went so smoothly and we just had the most perfect day - better than I ever imagined. Thank you to all the staff for being so helpful and professional and making the day go without a hitch. Thank you to the chef and kitchen staff for the wonderful food which everyone was complimenting - and for the lovely presentation of the food too. Thank you particularly to you Lucinda Best, the wedding planner for always being so helpful and always responding quickly to any queries in the planning stages and for being there on the day to oversee things. Also thank you for making a point of introducing Maria who helped in the evening and the following morning - great to have a named person through the whole day / evening who responded to any queries very efficiently. A good time was had by all and we heard lots of compliments about The Star from our guests. It was also incredibly good value with the deal we got, especially compared to other venues we looked at. A beautiful countryside venue in a beautiful village - and exceptional service throughout.

Simply Amazing
We had our wedding on the 13th November 2010 at the star with 50 guests in the day and 50 in the evening. All of the pre wedding planning and changes with Lucinda went smoothly and was very assuring for what was to be a fantastic day. All of the staff on the day including Lucinda could not of been more helpful and the whole thing ran without a hitch. Most of our friends stayed overnight and were very impressed with the hotels room and breakfast. We both could not recommend the Star enough for any wedding, amazing staff, amazing venue and an amazing location. Thankyou Lucinda and all the staff for an incredible start to the rest of our lives.
