The Square Club is a unique, fully-licensed boutique wedding venue in the heart of historic Clifton, Bristol. Located in a beautiful Georgian townhouse, this venue boasts four sumptuously decorated spaces for you to host your special day. From ceremony through to reception, the venue staff can look after every aspect of your day. An in-house events manager will take the stress out of all the planning.

Facilities and Capacity

The Square Club's eclectically decorated Lounge is ideal for drinks and refreshments. The Kitchen makes for a stunning ceremony room with bare brick walls, elegant proportions, and luxurious touches. It will then be transformed into your wedding breakfast room. With delicious menus prepared in-house by award-winning chefs, there are options to suit every palette and budget. The Lower Deck is perfect for entertaining your evening guests in style, with its own dancefloor, sound system, and the option to bring in your own DJ or live band. The Terrace is a hidden gem of a walled garden. This is perfect for serving outdoor barbecues and hog roasts if you would like an alternative to the traditional sit-down dinner. The Secret Garden, open all year round, is a cosy space away from the party, which provides fresh air within a heated space. This venue is also adjoined to the luxurious Berkeley Square Hotel should you wish to have guests stay over.

Great original venue

A great venue to have a small to medium size wedding. The service and food were outstanding and a dedicated wedding planner in Niamh and Jasmine were professional and accommodating.

The bar staff on the evening were so slick and professional making all sorts of drinks in a very well stocked bar.

Would highly recommend the Square Club as a wedding venue and attend one of their wedding opening days. I did enjoy some of the other events too prior to our wedding, worth it as you have to become a member to the club as part of the fee.

An amazing wedding day

We got married at the Square club in August 2023. On the run up to the day Niamh and the team were excellent with supporting with any questions and guiding us through the process.

When the big day arrived, it was the most magical day. The team were lovely and the food was outstanding! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Niamh and the team @ the Square Club were amazing during and before our big day. Location was exactly what we wanted. Reasonably priced. Food was fantastic. Everything went as planned, and the day exceeded our expectations.

A unique, colourful venue with lovely staff

Niamh and the team helped us get our wedding just how we wanted it. The beauty with the venue is that it’s already vibrant and colourful so it felt like a ‘ready dressed’ wedding venue. The food was hot, tasty and well presented. We were encouraged to think outside the box with what we wanted to have set up, what vendors to pick etc but it was the multi levels of the townhouse that really made it special. We had the wedding breakfast in the main restaurant, a cosy downstairs bar/dancefloor and the outdoor terraces so there were people to see and things to do spread all over.

Gorgeous day in a gorgeous venue

A huge huge thank you to everyone at the Square who made our day so memorable. Your experience, friendliness, and professionalism are unmatched!

We wanted a relaxed, fun, and personal day. The Square really delivered.

The venue felt full but not crowded. All the different elements of the venue make it special. There is a rooftop terrace and garden for relaxed drinks where guests could chat, a bar for dancing into the night , through to the bright ceremony and dining area where local artists’ work are displayed. The reception area is also perfect for a welcome drink once guests arrive.

The venue is well located just off Park Street on the quiet Berkeley Sqaure. The park just outside of the venue is perfect for confetti and group photos.

The food was also exquisite—all of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it— and we felt like we could enjoy the day and focus on being with our guests.

The Square is a perfect place for a mid-size or intimate wedding. Everyone we worked with was patient, lovely, and made our day.

Made our special day even more special

My wife and I had our wedding at The Square Club Bristol, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warmth and acceptance. What stood out to us the most was the incredible inclusivity and respect shown by the staff. As a same-sex couple, we've unfortunately encountered judgment in the past, but at The Square Club, we felt nothing but love and support.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our special day was exactly as we envisioned it. From coordinating the vendors to ensuring every detail was taken care of, the wedding planner Niamh truly covered everything, including those little things we hadn't even thought of. She was amazing!

The venue itself is stunning, with elegant décor and a charming ambiance that perfectly complemented the romance of our day. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the delicious food and impeccable service.

Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Square Club Bristol not only provided us with a beautiful setting for our wedding but also a safe and inclusive space where love truly knows no bounds. Thank you to the entire team for making our day so incredibly special.

Perfect wedding venue

The Square Club was the perfect wedding venue! We had an alternative venue booked, which fell through, and the team were really accommodating to make sure we could transfer everything we'd already booked over. The team are really organised and it means you don't need to worry about anything on the day. It's great having both the inside spaces and outside as it means things never feel cramped and there's some ideal locations close by for pictures. Really can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic venue and wedding

We held our wedding here at the end of January. We were so pleased with everything. Sophie, the Private Events Manager, made the preparations stress free and was very patient and responsive with all my questions. She did an amazing job with all the organisation and logistics. On the day the service from the staff was great, the food was delicious and all the decor was perfect. All of our expectations were exceeded and we had a fantastic day.

Service was impeccable

The Square Club were absolutely fantastic hosts for my Daughter’s big day. Nothing was left to chance, and everyone was delighted by the attention to detail by the friendly and helpful staff at the Hotel. We arrived at 2pm and were looked after amazingly until gone 1am. The service was impeccable, the food was beautiful and the decorations made the whole day memorable. Well done to Sophie and her team, you were PERFECT!! I could not fault the preparation and execution it was flawless, THANK YOU!

Everything ran like clockwork.

“Having stayed here for the first time August bank holiday 2013 we fell in love with the location, décor, atmosphere, food, my wife loves the cocktails, I loved the wine and the staff are amazing. So much so we chose The Square as our wedding venue bank August bank holiday this year. The staff really cannot do enough. Every one of our guests commented on how amazing the location was and how delicious the food and wine was. Gone are the days of chicken for every guest we had an entire menu for everyone to choose from. Everything ran like clockwork. I really cannot rate this place enough as did every one of our guests.”
