The Queens ballroom is the fairytale venue for any wedding for up to 450 guests and the adjacent reception area and Ark Royal Suite are perfect for those reception drinks and canapés before your guests sit down to indulge in the sumptuous wedding breakfast.  For more intimate celebrations the beautiful Palm Court is a truly special room to hold your wedding celebrations. 

We know the sheer amount of planning that goes into making your one special day special.  Our Wedding Co-ordinator will live and breathe your wedding with you, we’ll be on the end of the phone whenever you need reassurance or just want to double and triple check details.  Our eye for detail, professionalism and years of experience will make sure your guests take away as many fond memories as you.

      Hi Allison Just very quickly thank you for all your help we had an amazing time yesterday and it all went brilliantly. All the staff were fantastic especially Lewis the concierge who was very helpful this morning with getting all the stuff out into the car. Thank you again!!

      We would both like to convey our heartfelt thanks to you and your amazing staff at the Queens once again for making our wedding day run as perfectly as we had always hoped. We cannot say how grateful we are to you for everything which was done, from dressing the room so beautifully, to being courteous and professional with us throughout the day, allowing us to enjoy the celebration, safe in the knowledge that the whole thing was in the best hands. The room was beautiful and looked even better than we could have hoped. The help and advice offered to us in the build up by both yourself and Harold was absolutely brilliant and serves as testament to your experience and competence in these events as the whole thing ran without a single hitch. Of course, this was also helped in no end by your wonderful staff. Throughout the day, throughout the night, and even well into the afternoon of the day after, everyone we encountered was friendly, polite, considerate, but above all, tremendously helpful. No job was too much of an ask and everyone seemed so happy to be able to lend a hand no matter what was called for, whether it be helping us with the logisitics of removing all our boxes, or going off into the night with a random musician to look for a piece of drum kit! We would also like to pay our compliments to your catering staff for a delightful meal, which many of our guests, we are sure, are also deeply thankful for. It really was delicious. We really could not have had the perfect wedding which we wanted without your help, and for the smiles on our faces throughout the day and after, we thank you. Neil & Rebecca

      Very glad I chose the Queens!!
      I used the Queens Hotel for my halls of residence formal event and am so glad I did so. The events team- Allison and Rebecca- were just great, extremely helpful and a pleasure to meet. The evening went just as I planned and this was all due to the wonderful service the events team provided. Allison was the perfect host and responded to any enquires immediately. She took time and care to ensure that all my needs were met and, in the the end, I had a fantastic space, great food and a friendly and talented DJ from Night Owls, which the events team arranged for us. The night was enjoyed by all and I really can't say enough about how brilliant the Queens and the events team have been in making this happen.

      Dear Ivar, I felt I wanted to send you this email because for the past weeks I have been dealing with one of your staff members, a Helen Berriman. Helen has been professional from day 1 and is always so helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. I met Helen at the Queens on one occasion with my client Mr and Mrs Brear and Helen was so helpful, her manner is excellent and the reason I wanted to send this email is that it isn’t often you encounter somebody who understands and portrays great customer service. As yet we haven’t totally agreed to go with the Queens as our chosen venue, but this is not detrimental to Helen, because my client asked me who I would prefer to work with at all the venues we have been in discussion with, I chose Helen as she stands out from the crowd. Hopefully we will be proceeding with the Queens especially if you can release the 13th October, we are currently provisionally holding the 12th October. Helen is a credit to the Queens Hotel and believe me it isn’t often you encounter somebody like her, she does make the Queens stand out from its competitors. Regards Sue
