      A Superb Venue!!
We fell upon the Old Rectory as we were looking for other venues in the area. Immediately we knew it was the place for us - a secluded venue with welcoming staff and beautiful grounds. Martin and Sian put us straight at ease with their honest and relaxed approach. We were able to make all our own touches to the venue the day before, which was a bonus. They even managed to organise us a bouncy castle at late notice!! The food was fabulous and all our guests commented on how perfect the day went. I would highly recommend this venue! Many thanks to Martin, Sian and the team. Richard & Emma

      Absolutely Perfect!
Very friendly people, Martin and Sian, and a lovely venue. The real fireplace set the ceremony off perfectly as we said our vows, and the food was delicious at the sit-down meal, top quality food. Beautiful surroundings and the rooms upstairs were immaculate and well turned out. Everybody that came commented on what a fantastic time they had and what a great venue it was. I would definitely recommened the venue to anyone else getting married.

Excellent facilities with a good service
The Old Rectory is a cosy, beautiful venue which serves well-presented and really well-cooked food. Martin was particularly helpful and supportive in the planning process, and the whole vibe is very relaxed and laid back. This can be fantastic as you have open-ended choices, but it can also be a little difficult when deciding on food and timings when there is no literature to guide you. Martin was always happy to answer any questions. You do have the venue to yourself however when you arrive in the morning on your day, there is the possibility of another wedding party having their breakfast which made the first part of the day slightly delayed and awkward. The rose wine was forgotten at dinner but was brought out immediately when reminded. The serving staff and premises manager were really helpful and the day was fantastic. We felt it was a great venue that we would recommend, but it could benefit from a little more organisation and paper based guidance on your choices to guide those who have no idea of what they want. Thank you very much to The Old Rectory for a wonderful day we will always remember.

      Perfect!
We got married at the Old Rectory on 23rd March 2012 and we could not have asked for a better venue and service. From when we first visited the venue and met with Sian and Martin we knew it was the right place for us. Sian and Martin have a real laid back approach which puts you at ease and they really do know their stuff! We were able to design our own menu rather than choose from a pre-set menu and we were able to decide on the timings of the day (with Sian and Martin on hand to offer their expertise) so our wedding really was so personal to us. The venue only holds one wedding/function a day which adds to the personal feel. everyone commented on what an amazing and perfect venue it was, especially the layout - the bar is close to the dancefloor so the dancefloor was never empty! I didnt have to worry about a thing on the day, Sian made sure everything ran to time so i had absolutely no stress - perfect! The food was delicious and we were very impressed with the breakfast the next morning as well as all of the staff serving on the day. Sian also did my flowers and they were stunning. We talked about what i wanted and i sent (lots of!) pictures as i was quite particular about the style i wanted and Sian go them spot on. She really understood the theme and feel i wanted the flowers to have and for someone as fussy as me to say they were perfect is saying something!! we would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone we know. THANK YOU Sian and Martin

      Absolutely Amazing
We held our wedding there on 1/4/2012 and can say that i couldn't have asked for more. The food was absoultely out of this world on the day, and the breakfast and service the next day was not to argued wth either. The service the staff provided was spot on also, couldn't have asked for more. The venue took care of arranging all of our flowers, from table flowers to bouquets and i must say that the flowers was completely stunning & flawess, using the freshest flowers i have ever seen. The day was such a lovely magical day and this was all thanks to 'The Old Rectory', i would definatly reccommend to all. Thankyou Charn & Martin

      21st December 2012
We got married at the venue on the 21st December. From when we first visited the venue until our wedding day, Martin & Sian were amazing, especially how attentive they are on the day.Nothing was too much trouble and everything we wanted was accomodated. The venue looked beautiful & every guest complimented the simple, welcoming, homely ambience. The food was amazing, not a single guest left without commenting on it's portion size, elegance, taste and the quality service that came with it.We would get married again there every day if we could.Sian did our flowers and they exceeded our expectations.Cannot recommend the venue and staff enough. The price of the venue does not represent the high quality.Other venues charge a fortune and do not provide the service, that the Rectory does. They even set up our snow machine for us!We will really miss seeing Sian & Martin, they do became friends by the Wedding Day.

      Perfect Venue
We got married at The Old Rectory on 10th Dec 2011 and it was the perfect day, even the weather played its part! The venue itself was the perfect size for a small\medium wedding and it felt as though everybody was part of the day. Sian & Martin made sure that everything was just as we had asked and the chef was great in accommodating some strange dietary requests which eased my worry. Another thank you must go to Sian for the flowers, just what I wanted. The laid back atmosphere and approach of everyone there makes for stress free preparation and the day just runs itself. I would recommend it to anyone.

      Great day Recommend to all
On Sunday 13 November 2011 we held our daughters 1st birthday and naming ceremony at the Old Rectory. Had a fabulous day special thanks to Sian she was so helpful throughout the day and the run up to the event. Food was outstanding recommend the hot & cold buffet (especially the chilli). All the guest's said what a nice venue it was, how lovely the food was and how helpful and courteous all the staff were. We were made welcome from the moment we booked up the event and will definitely go back in the future for another occasion.

A perfect day at a perfect location
We could not have wished for a better day from the location itself, to the helpfulness of both Sian and Martin. The food was amazing as was commented on by all our guests, and all in all in represented fantastic value for money when considered alongside quotes we had from similar locations. I would not hesitate to recommend The Old Rectory to anyone who wants to make the special day a guaranteed special day. Thanks again to all the staff

Everyone had the most amazing day
We were married on 23rd September 2011 at the Old Rectory, we had THE most wonderful day. From the moment I (the Bride) arrived everything fell into place thanks to Sian and Martin. We were lucky enough to have the ceremony outside in the beautiful grounds, it was like a dream come true. Our guests were very complimentary of the food (thanks Chef) and the venue which made us feel even happier (if possible). Many of our guests chose to stay overnight at the Rectory and we are pleased to say the breakfast was equally excellent. We couldn't couldn't recommend this venue enough, we truly had the most perfect wedding day we could have wished for.

      A dream come true
7.10.11 was the day i became Mrs smith at The Old Rectory. Our first glimpse of the grounds we knew this was the place we wanted to be married. An outside wedding with beautiful photo opportunities as well as being aloud to put my own stamp on my day was all i ever wanted for our wedding. After meeting with Martin and Sian it seemed our dream wedding would become reality at this venue. I can not praise them highly enough. The cleanliness and grandeur of this property was wonderful. The grounds were matured and kept to an extremely high standard. The food was absolutely outstanding each of our guests remarked on the quality and freshness of the food. Everything was arranged from start to finish with true professionalism, no stress on the day at all. Me and my husband as well as Every guest was attended to and cared for by the waitresses and all our needs met throughout the evening. Sian was an amazing help to me on the day arranging where people needed to be. Martin was fantastic with our needs from start to finish. Honeymoon suite and breakfast again were outstanding. Truly Can not find a bad word to say as the day was 'Perfect'...dreams do come true with the right venue and right team. Outstanding!!!
