I can honestly say if I could do it all again I would choose The Mirfield Monastery as my venue. The grounds are amazing, the food was mouth watering and the staff went above and beyond to make our day special. We received so many compliments from our family and friends about the venue and food, we all had a brilliant day.

We were married at Mirfield Monestary in 2018. It was fantastic. From our first visit the staff were welcoming and helpful, happy to answer any questions. We were able to change menus, change seating set up, have a rehearsal, and on the day itself they were so organised that everything ran smoothly and better than we planned. Having the venue for the weekend was amazing as we could set up the day before and not worry about collecting things the next day. It made the whole experience so relaxed and enjoyable. The food was amazing and everyone commented on how yummy it was. Simply amazing.

I am struggling to find the words to express just how grateful we were to all the staff for making our day so special even providing the added extras such as pork scratchings!!

The whole experience, from our first meeting to the clearing up at the end was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone went the extra mile.

We and all our guests were amazed by the venue, the food and the staff. No one could get over how the chef could make 90 poached eggs runny!! The food was the best wedding food we have ever tasted!!

All the staff playied a huge part in making the day the best of our lives!! We would definitely recommend Mirfield monastery as a wedding venue. We would love to do it all over again there.

Me and my husband got married in Hawaii and we’re having a evening party back home to celebrate. We just wanted somewhere on a budget but with character. We spent hours and hours looking for the perfect place and gave up. After a few weeks I had another look and came across this hidden gem. I was so picky when looking for a venue it had to have no carpet and a nice floor (I don’t know why) and this place was perfect. You walk into the great hall and we just fell in love. Gorgeous wooden floor big tables and big wooden benches. Painted white with big windows. It had a little ‘stage’ where the DJ went we could pretty much decorate how ever we wanted it was fab. The food was amazing and catered to what ever you wanted basically. The venue you get for the whole weekend to decorate and take things down after which was great. We did some of the setting up but the place did the rest and even took everything down and boxed it up for us after. Such a beautiful place for such a small price! A few of our guests were from Mirfield or the local area and never knew it existed. A lot of people commented on how beautiful it was. The only tiny down side is no one could find the car park as it’s such a big place with multiple entrances. So if you were to book it put some balloons or signage on the outer gate so people know where you are! Great it has a separate room which was a little quieter for some which had a pop up bar in and where food was served. Beautiful grounds to take pictures on too. Mirfield Monastery was the most perfect venue for our wedding. It is beautiful, peaceful and everything you need is within the grounds. The staff were outstanding, going above and beyond for us both up to and on the wedding day. All of the guests commented on the beauty of the venue and referred to it as a ‘hidden gem’. It truly was perfect. Everything we wanted for the start of our happily ever after.

We visited a lot of venues and this one was very flexible in listening to and encouraging our ideas.

What a wonderful place to celebrate our wedding! This was the first and only venue we looked at, we knew it was the venue we wanted immediately.

We got married on 23rd August 2019 & had an amazing day in a beautiful setting with amazing food (we had curry and our guests are still talking about it!)

David and his team were fantastic both on the day and the many months leading up to the wedding. They ensured everything ran smoothly and it did - even with huge delays in the guests arriving due to an accident the motorway. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.

What particularly stood out for us about Mirfield Monastery was not only the beautiful grounds and venue, it was the wide range of meal choices and willingness to go above and beyond to make the day enjoyable for us and our guests of all ages.

Everything about our day was perfect, I wish we could do it all again, every year!

This is a very special venue for a wedding. The fact that you have the day before the wedding to set up and that your guests are the only ones at the venue also makes it very special. The location is so beautiful you only need minimal decoration.

The staff, especially the Catering Manager David, were so attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and we are very grateful to them all for helping to make our daughter's wedding a very special day.

I can confirm that everything you described when we came to see you last autumn, was exceeded in its delivery. I particularly appreciate the help I received from all the staff, from the three grounds / handy men, the catering staff and especially the catering Manager Ben. I thought him being in attendance on the day dressed in a suit discreetly overseeing and controlling every aspect of the proceedings, guaranteed the avoidance of any problems.

To me the most important thing, was that the Bride and Groom’s memory of their special day will always remain positive and very exciting. You, your location, the team, the food and service far exceed my expectations. For this I am very grateful.

Alex and I only looked at the Monastery first and already looking at the second venue just knew there was no need to look at anymore because nothing compared to it.

The beautiful setting and ability to have both our ceremony and reception in one place was the first positive (in a list of endless positives). We cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did before the wedding in helping us with any questions, right through to collecting our decorations after the wedding. Nothing we asked for was too much and they were so welcoming when we visited for preparation meetings. In particular Ben, who managed our wedding before during and after, was absolutely amazing. He helped us design a wedding menu that was bespoke to us and the wedding guests enjoyed a Turkish sharing banquet which a number of people commented as being the best wedding food they had every had. It was delicious!

The ceremony was perfect and the connections with Maggie at the local church meant we had the most wonderful time becoming husband and wife in front of our friends and family. The choir were brilliant, kindly learning songs from Sister Act for me to walk down the aisle and the pianist entertained us during the signing of the register.

The order of events ran so smoothly throughout the day that no one had any stresses and could enjoy the day.

We would recommend the Monastery to anyone who wants a magical, stress free, personal wedding! My only downside is that we can’t do it all over again!

This place has everything, great venue, stunning location & grounds, on site accommodation and the most helpful people working there. We were married here on 21st October 2017. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys - they even helped with the odd spot of baby sitting when we were setting up. They understood what we wanted from the start and certainly delivered. The food was amazing and served in such a way that everyone ate at the same time - no-one was left waiting. All the guests commented on how delicious it was and there was plenty to go around. Ben was an absolute star on the day, even meeting me with an umbrella to escort me down to the chapel....he confiscated my plastic bag though!! ?? The Great hall looked amazing on the day despite the weather and the accommodation was spot on too. It really did run like clockwork and we didn't have to worry about anything....the day just flowed. If anyone is looking for a quirky, stunning wedding venue then I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's already been suggested that we have a 10 year vow renewal so we can do it all again!! Thank you so much to everyone involved in making our day so fabulous and special.

The Monastery is stunning - everybody commented on how amazing the venue and grounds were. Most guests never knew this gem existed and asked us how we knew about it. Some commented it was the best venue they had ever been to!

From start to finish the whole reason we fell in love with the Monastery was not only because of how simply stunning the venue is but also how personalised you can make your wedding day. We didn’t have to share with another wedding couple, we could completely make our own menu for the day and Ben was a great help doing this, we could also decide what food we wanted for the evening and the fact it is a complete blank canvas to be able to decorate exactly how you would like it!

The food was absolutely out of this world. Everybody commented on how gorgeous it was! Again many saying the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding! Not one thing was out of place, everyone was able to eat together and the food was served hot, well presented and without any mishaps or confusion.

We had a few requests for example power outside for our saxophonist and the VW camper photo booth – all provided on the day with no hassle making set up easy. Nothing was ever any trouble what so ever.

The bar was also fantastic - it’s not every day you get to choose what’s on behind the bar! Another personal touch we absolutely loved.

My husband and I couldn't of wished for a more perfect day.

Part 2
Adele did an equally amazing job when she took over from Toni during the night and ensured the night went just as smoothly as the day and seamlessly took care of all of the guests whilst they moved into another room whilst the band set up.
The hall was an absolutely brilliant room for the band, the sound was great and it went from a fabulous dining hall to an equally fabulous dance floor.
We had reservations about the ‘pop-up bar’ but it was great, it looked just like a real bar and the prices were very reasonable! The staff behind the bar were just as great as all of the other staff at the monastery.
All in all, we can’t think of anything that could have gone better on our special day, it was everything and more that we could have wished for on our wedding day.
We would recommend anybody looking for venues to take the time to look around Mirfield Monastery, it is an extremely special place.

Part 1
It is extremely difficult to put in to words how amazing the whole day was from start to finish. I went to school in Mirfield for 7 years and had no idea about this hidden treasure, it is truly a beautiful place.
We visited the Monastery about a month after getting engaged, it was the first and last venue we looked at as we knew it would be the perfect place for our wedding.
Ben was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole year with all of our questions and needs, especially in the weeks running up to the wedding when stress levels were high! Ben took so much of that stress off our shoulders and ensured along with his great team that the day went perfectly.
Toni was incredible, she not only saved the day with clear lip gloss but completely calmed both of our nerves right from the beginning of the day. So many of the guests commented on how amazing Toni was throughout the day helping the whole day to run smoothly.
The monastery is a beautiful building and the ceremony was just perfect, the grounds are just as perfect and we have some beautiful photos as a result. We loved the fact that we had free reign on the design of the hall, the opportunities are just endless. We were able to create a room that was perfect for us and our families.
The food was absolutely incredible, even two months later people are still commenting on the food! Ben and his team did a wonderful job, it was exactly what we wanted and during the year running up to the wedding we were able to chop and change the menu as we wished and this was no problem at all for Ben.

Everything was absolutely perfect on the day and before the day. Staff were exceptional (especially Maria) and couldn’t do more to help us.

The food was outstanding and many of our guest have commented that it was the best pie they’ve ever had!

Communication was great and attention to dietary requirements was fantastic so thank you for that.
