The Mill House Inn

The Mill House nestling in 7 acres of wooded grounds dating back 1760 offers a perfect setting and backdrop for a traditional country wedding with the added attraction of the beautiful beach at Trebarwith Strand just half a mile down the valley.

Wedding ceremonies may be held in a number of different locations around the hotel including outside under the fixed canopy (with heaters) on the attractive split level terrace.

Following the ceremony and photographs guests may enjoy drinks and canapies in the traditional bar or outside on the terrace or on the lawn overlooking the mill stream.

The reception will be tailored to individual requirements with the possibility of food being served in the restaurant or outside on the terrace or in a marquee on the back lawn.

Evening entertainment to suit requirements can be arranged. We also have a list of preferred local suppliers for flowers, wedding cakes, hairdressing etc.

The emphasis is upon making this very special day as relaxed and memorable as possible with fine details being tailored to your own requirements.

      Perfect Wedding Venue
      My younger son married his partner of 9 years at this delightful hotel in December 2011. He wanted somewhere special, without pretension and who would cater for a small wedding - so many wedding venues tend towards large gatherings. There were 12 adults and 5 children ranging from 18 months to 5 years. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, the rooms are comfortable and above all the food was excellent. We had a lovely room which was arranged so that all the tables were set in a big square so everybody could see one another and when the children finally became too bored to sit around the table they were allowed to play in the middle of the room without causing too much chaos! There was a 40th birthday party in the bar area with a live band so any of our guests who felt like bopping could join in. The owner Mark was very helpful with all the pre-planning and the two lady Registrars who came from Bodmin were absolutely lovely - they made it both relaxing and comfortable and seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. We have all decided to return as a future family get together - most especially because our little grandaughter, who is now 3, was so taken with being the bridesmaid she keeps asking if Mummy and Daddy can get married again so we can go back for another party! I would just add that apart from the wedding menu we had an excellent bar lunch upon arrival with a good choice of food and a happy and friendly girl behind the bar who remained calm and dealt with all the different requests to cater for the various children! The sandwiches were one of the best.
